Instruction Manual of Square Bottom Paper Bag-Making Machine

Square bottom paper bag machine uses rolling paper as raw material for producing food paper bags, environment-friendly paper bags, and shopping paper bags. It uses primary color or printed rolling paper to finish bag forming in one step, with the automatic function of side gluing, forming into a tube, cutting paper tube, bottom creasing, bottom gluing, bottom forming, bag output, etc. The machine controlled by a computer center control system, touch screen display, and servo motor control bag length, can make various sizes of paper bags. It is an ideal machine.

1. Machine main technical parameter:(Take model 190 as a example)

2. Main Parts structure feature and operation way:

2.1 Unwinding Part

2.1.1Unwinding Part (attention: machine front is operation side, drive side is gear side)

2.1.2 Independent single unwinding frame, hydraulic up and down structure.

2.1.3 Raw material load and unload adopt shaft, controlled by hydraulic system

2.1.4 Magnetic powder unwinding, auto constant tension control.

2.1.5 Auto raw material side correction controller system (EPC)

Remark: The tension controller, and EPC operation manual will explain how to operate in detail. Electrical and motor information will provide a detailed manual.

2. 2 Material Feeding Part

2.2.1 Single feeding frame.

2.2.2 Adjustable side gluing, auto-separated when the machine stops

2.3 Forming into tube part

2.3.1 Changeable forming plate

2.3.2 Forming plate support design

2.3.3 Side inserting adopts a multi-gear type structure, adjustment is manual.

2.3.4 Material press wheel position can adjust discretionarily.

2.3.5 Paper tube forming adjustment method:

2.4 Install forming mold

2.4.1 Put the forming plate fixed seat in the middle of the machine.

2.4.2 Install the forming plate, adjust the level of forming plate, and enable the forming plate in the middle of the machine.

2.4.3 The downside plate needs to correspond with the material drag wheel.

2.4.4 Clamp tray adjusts according to the side of the paper tube, the distance between the front and back side needs 1-2mm. The angle of the clamp can not be too big. Too big will break the paper tube. Round trays need put in the middle of the up and down plates. (the height adjusted by the screw)

2.5 Forming tube adjusts method:

2.5.1 Longitudinal adjust: loosen the four screws on the fore side and gear side, and adjust the longitudinal position by the adjustment screw on the fore side. After adjustment, pls tighten the loosened screw.

2.5.2 Transverse adjustment, when fixing the mold, pls do not tighten the two screws, easy for transverse adjustment, use the center fixed bar to adjust the forming plate to the center of the machine.

3. Paper tube delivery part

3.1 Abstract

3.1.1 Main machine is a servo motor drive.

3.1.2 Material feeding is servo motor, auto photocell correction

3.1.3 Rotary sawtooth cutter

3.1.4 Adjustable bottom creasing device, can adjust the required bottom size.

3.1.5 Cam in the Bottom-open part can adjust the stretch length.

3.2 Adjust method:

3.2.1 According to the paper size, the side of the pull wheel and forming plate need similar. The pressure of the pull wheel is controlled by two cylinders. Pressure between 45-60pa.    

3.2.2 Cutting knife adjustment:

3.2.2.1. The up knife shall aim at the fuller, put the knife in the middle of fuller

3.2.2.2 According to the paper length to adjust the cutting speed, the cutting speed is controlled by eccentric gear, there is a point at the zenith and nadir of gear, when both two-point heads up, the cutting speed is fastest, when cutting the longest paper tube, put points in this position. When two points intersect, the cutting speed is lowest, when cutting the shortest paper tube, put points in this gear.

3.2.3 Delivery wheel adjustment:

3.2.3.1 Pressure shall be moderate, use your hand to pull it to measure the paper tube’s pressure, principle is till it can not be pulled.

3.2.3.2 Delivery wheel transverse position, according to the paper tube to adjust, the principle is delivery wheel’s edge can’t touch the paper tube’s included side.

3.2.4 Lining wheel adjustment:

3.2.4.1. Pressure and transverse position adjustment method is the same as the delivery wheel.

3.2.4.2 Pull-off iron piece shall be adjusted according to the paper tube.

3.2.4.3 Two line’s distance is half of the bag’s bottom length, adjust the method: loosen the six screws on the lining wheel, then the second line can be moved to the position you need, then tighten the screws.

3.2.4.4 To adjust the first line and the first clamp’s distance, loosen the side gear’s screws, then the line position can be moved.

3.3 Open bottom roller adjustment: 

3.3.1 Open bottom roller transverse position shall be adjusted according to the paper tube’s width, and the roller’s edge and the paper tube’s edge shall be the same.

3.3.2 Open bottom roller clamp’s pulling is adjusted by two screw arbors, clockwise to tighten, and anticlockwise to loosen.

3.3.3 Front and rear position adjust method, loosen the side gear’s screw to adjust the open bottom’s clamp. Open bottom clamp shall clamp right at the first line’s position, only this way the finished bag’s bottom won’t have two lines.

4. Paper tube forming unit

4.1 Structure, feature:

4.1.1 Drum is multi-layer, middle clamp, insert clamp(first clamp, second clamp) and the drum’s mechanical finger can be sync adjusted, easy for fast adjustment.

4.1.2 Bottom gluing part is clutch pneumatic control.

4.1.3 Bag bottom closing shaft can go up and down, according to bottom width to adjust, and operate easily.

4.2 Method of operation:

4.2.1 First clamp and second clamp’s distance is 10-12mm less than the bag-making bottom length. The first clamp’s open width is about 6.5mm, second clamp’s open width is about 8mm.

4.2.2 Middle clamp’s front and the first clamp’s distance is paper tube length subtract paper bag length and subtract 3mm. If the bag has a thumb mouth, middle clamp and the first clamp’s distance is a paper tube subtract the paper bag length and add 6mm. The middle clamp and the drum surface’s height are between 16-19mm.

4.2.3 Drum’s mechanical finger clamp and first clamp’s distance is about 1.5mm.

4.2.4 First insert knife’s depth is about 13mm, the second insert knife’s depth is about 15mm, the first insert knife’s width is 6mm longer than the bag bottom width, and two angles shall be chamfered.

4.2.5 The distance between the two protect bars under the bag’s bottom folder and the drum’s mechanical finger is around 1.5mm.

4.2.6 Two protect bars under the inserted knife, its distance from the drum’s mechanical finger is around 1.5mm, and its distance from the drum’s surface is around 1.5mm.

4.2.7 Closing shaft’s position, when the second clamp opens, the closing shaft shall be right on the point of its opening, then can make the bag bottom close. The closing bar’s width can’t be longer than two protect bars under the insert knife’s distance, otherwise will touch the protect bars, and may break them.

4.2.8 Middle clamp’s open period is controlled by two cams on the side of the machine. The opening time determines the quality of the finished bag.

5. Control Unit

5.1 PLC controls the whole machine. (Rexroth PLC)

5.2 Touch screen display. (Rexroth)

5.3 Mainframe servo motor control, bag making length is controlled by the servo motor.

5.4 Bag collecting part is frequency control.

8. Maintain  

The maintenance of machines is important to improve production efficiency.

Here are our suggestions.

8.1 Operator on duty should be sure to fully lubricate each component of the machine and keep the machine clean.

8.2 Use 30-60 minutes to clean and lubricate the machine when changing shifts. last but not the least, the operator needs to make a record of the machine running.  

8.3Maintenance regularly. Except for daily maintenance, we also need to do the flowing:

8.3.1 4 hours maintenance once a week. Do maintenance record

8.3.2 8 hours of comprehensive maintenance once a month and do maintenance records 

8.3.3 8 hours of maintenance once a quarter. The maintenance record can help every team learn the situation of the machine.

8.4 Add oil, butter, and hydraulic oil.

8.4.1 Check the color of the hydraulic oil and oil table indicator regularly. If not meet the requirement, change it as soon as possible. The lowest oil table scope refers to instructions. 

8.4.2 Rolling part of the discharge seat should always be lubricated.

8.4.3 lubricate the cylinder rod regularly.

8.4.4 Keep gears part lubricated.

8.4.5 Add butter to the fuel injection nozzle regularly.   

8.4.6 Add oil to the sliding parts. Such as the Paddles sliding part, knife holder portion, the central portion of the clip, drum part, jig part, transfer wheel lift slider part, scribing wheel section, and all cam parts.

8.4.7 Regularly checks and adds butter to each bearing of the discharge block. H Regularly clean the belt. Clear glue and debris.

8.5 Keep your hand clean when operating the touch screen. you can refer to electronically controlled instructions to learn how to calibrate the screen.

8.6 Use high-quality oil, butter, and hydraulic oil. It’s the security of production.

2. The main screen is used to set the bag length and the speed of the machine.

The format length is the total length of you need bags. (this value is required to enter, in the shutdown input, behind the indication box turns red and turns green again to boot.)

The host speed is the speed of the machine you set

The actual speed of the machine is currently running.

Each number is the number of each batch receiving sets. If the number of bags set for each batch is 50, the number will jump from 0 to 49. Each cycle is 1 batch, and two cycles are 2 batches.

Set batch, green for the setting, yellow for the current value (as explained). Also cleared only removal of current value. When the current value is equal to the set value, the machine will appear “2S bell, to the operator, to the batch arrival. And the current value will automatic clear zero.

Out of bag count, output photoelectric count, clear button, press clear count

The function of the switch:

Check the paper on / off, in front of the upper rubber to check if the paper is blocked. After normal operation, turn on the switch, if the upper glue has a jam at the front, it will stop automatically

Discharge paper on / off, out of the bag and counting machine production bags less than contrast, set the “discharging parking number” (in parameter settings), is considered to be the conveyor belt in the paper jam, after the normal operation, the paper bag is normal, open the switch, if there is a paper jam, it will automatically shut down.

The label is lost down on / off switch, open the register, to determine the first target position, if the color in the operation of photoelectric detection to color continuously accumulated to “label lost set number” (in parameter settings), will automatically shut down.

Adjust the opening/closing, adjust the paper and adjust the paper

On the paper on/off switch, open the paper, when the roll diameter is less than the “minimum diameter” (set in the operation picture), the machine automatically shut down.

Traction feed, stop, open traction feed, used for paper and paper use.

Color code set function description:

The maximum tension and minimum tension are the tension values that you set at the maximum roll diameter and the minimum roll diameter

Maximum diameter, minimum roll diameter, and roll diameter are your maximum and minimum values.

Current tension, you set/calculated the current coil diameter corresponding to the tension values.

The speed of the traction point, the speed of inching traction under the stop condition

The diameter of the conveyor roller, and the roll diameter of the traction roller, do not change this value without changing the traction roller. The default is 111.2mm

Machine speed gain and factory parameters need not be changed

The discharging parking number is set to the discharge number of the paper jam.

KP set, amplitude adjustment, a general set of 0.5.

Color code to capture the door width, used to set the effective range of the standard color, the best range of greater than 30mm, this value is based on the actual range of color code to set

The photoelectric detection response time, the reaction time of 50uS electric eye color, if you need to replace the photoelectric eye best choice response time of about 50uS.
